I was recently talked to about being an empath. I have a strong Irish heritage and have always been so happy when I’m outside in nature. When I go home to the state I was raised in and the US that is full of nature I always feel like my body is recharged fully somehow. I was wondering if you could tell me if I carry what they call Wiccan blood or heritage. I knew someone that said she was descended from a white Wiccan? What does that mean? I am a very open person about religion and myself was raised Catholic. I question many things about my religion its history and writings. Just looking for a little insight or somewhere where I might be able to research more.

Hello , Im looking for away to call out to my sister’s who practice Wicca. I myself have been looking to start practicing Wicca, I’ve dabbled in tarot readings, and I was told by a friend who has been practices Wicca for years ,that I am a empath. I have learned by practicing and focusing on my emotions for people they can feel my presence, when I will it. my sister’s live across the state so I need something to amp it up, tell me what kind of symbols will amp it and make them more aware of my presence?

I found a charm with this symbol on it . I have no idea if it’s wiccan or not. I’m no stranger to the craft but I am still a novice at it. I have had this charm for many years tucked away in my jewlery box. I feel compelled to keep it even tho I don’t know what it is. I’ve tried to look it up but there are just to many symbols and runes out there and I can’t find a match. If anyone can help I would appreciate it greatly.its a simple design looks like a heart shaped leaf with vains in it… Kind of like what we learn to draw as a kid. 1 main vain down the center with 4 lines crossing it. A stem on the topthat curves to the right with a small line branching off the left side of it

I live in a house that was said to have been built in 1972. It wasn’t until about after about living here for around 6 months that my daughter came to me and told me to knock it off I know it’s you. I was very confused. She thought I was playing a joke on her because we do enjoy playing that way. I told her I hadn’t. She then thought it was her little brother. Nothing happened for a few days after.
At this point my daughter came to me scared, she told me she was hearing what sounds like a little girl giggling. I was with her later on in the day and she said did you hear her ! I could only tell her the truth I heard nothing. The same happened the next day but my son, daughter, and myself was in the sitting room this time. My daughter started shaking and crying. She said, she’s here ! She asked if we could hear her, we didn’t… My best friend before she moved called a lady that was recommended to her to come and help cleanse the house. So she did, it was less than a month and my daughter said it didn’t help she’s still here I can hear her. That is when my best friend recommended we go down to the courthouse to look over ownership papers on the house and property. I didn’t know until she told me that Realtor do not have to tell you if someone has died in the home if it hasn’t been less than 5 years. What we found out was that yes this house was built in 1972 on a pre-existing foundation from a home that was built in 1909. We, well I’ll say it my best friend I went into the crawl space of the part of the original foundation to see if there was anything there. In a far corner piece on some of the brickwork was Warren image and it didn’t look to be Latin because my best friend took a Latin. She was uncertain of what the writing was but it was a worn down Circle within another circle with writing of some kind inside of the ring part and it looked like some in the big part. It had a star at the top with 6 points. The inside looked like it had evenly divided into fours and then there was more of that writing but it wasn’t clear what it is. As I said it wasn’t in good shape.. I have tried to talk to my husband about all of this. His take on it is there is no such thing as ghosts and that our daughter is letting her Imagination get the best of her. Also that I am just making it worse by feeding into it. I haven’t told my daughter about what we found out about the house or about the symbol or whatever it is that we found roughly carved into the old foundation.
I know my description is not much help but if someone could tell me if they’ve seen anything similar to what I’m describing please tell me can this have anything to do with what’s going on?
My oldest sister has paranoid schizophrenia. My husband is thinking that if my daughter continues that possibly that she needs to go in and get tested or examined because of the fact that schizophrenia can run in families. I don’t not for one minute, not one piece of my heart believes that my daughter is schizophrenic ! I don’t know what to do !!!

Silver November 7, 2017 at 4:12 pm

Is there a way you can show what the letters look like?

Anonymous November 7, 2017 at 6:48 pm

Get your house cleansed again and do some protective warding. Sage your daughter regularly and let her help design the rituals. Empower her safety. It never hurts to talk to a good therapist as well.

Shaeris January 8, 2018 at 11:31 am

I am by no means an expert, but I am a concerned believer. I know it is much to ask, but did you by any means take a charcoal sketch of the symbol or a picture? If you’d email me I’d be glad to help in any way I can.

Summer February 10, 2018 at 6:11 pm

Hi, I hope everything is well with your family. If you will email me so I can teach you to cleanse your home and lift the spell on your property. I can also tell you how to protect your daughter. Blessed be.

P.s. I’m not trying to sell you a book or anything. Haha. I’m just here to try and help.

Hello Lovelies,
I am trying to understand the ways of Wicca, and I am wondering how to commit? I am so in-tune with my natural surroundings, and feel that becoming Wiccan is my fate. I need help understanding the ways and understanding of Wicca, and was wondering if someone could help me out?

Thank you so much, and I hope to be in contact very soon!
Blessed Be

Quinley November 13, 2017 at 1:16 am

There is no formal “committing” exactly (unless you follow the traditional Wiccan path, the yes some covens can require a formal commitment after your year and a day mark of following Wicca). Wicca is nature based but Wicca highly prizes knowledge (in my opnion). When you become a ‘full-fledged WIccan’, you will never stop learning. Ever. There is really is no real way to enter into Wicca like you think. As long as you believe in the basis of Wicca (The Goddess and Horned God essentialy made the world blah blah blah. You don’t need a history leson yet :) ) then you can ‘be Wiccan’. I found exemplore.com sooooooooo helpful on my first day of my path as a Wiccan. PLease email me if you have any more questions <3 blessed be, Quinley @booksandpandas13@gmail.com << I really like books and pandas don't judge lol

I want to get a tattoo that enhances or developes any kind of wiccan abilities curious to know if there is a spell involved or just the tattooing and what symbol can and should not be tattooed

caleb August 16, 2017 at 11:12 pm

My buddy went in a abandoned house found a book in the wall that said how to
Become a witch or a colt and was a big old book, in the middle of the room on floor was a gardnerian looking markings with a dead crow in the middle. They both said a line out of the book and one of them poured a old jar of mayo on the dead crow. Within the next couple days they each lost someone in their lives and put the book in a bag and hid it in the woods and left it there. Should I leave it there or is it all good for me to get it and look in it

Jennifer September 11, 2017 at 2:41 am

I’m sure it’s perfectly harmless. Also doubt the efficacy of the old “pour mayo on a dead bird death spell.” :P

Hello. So recently i told my Boyfriend of a year that i am Wiccan. Which he is totally into but neither of us had the courage to bring it up until i broke the ice myself. Anyway.. We were talking about symbols and what not and he said he always sees this symbol in his head but doesnt know what it is. I laughed and told him i have a symbol myself that i have tried to find online but to no avail. So i asked him to draw it and it happened to be the exact symbol ive seen in my mind myself. Freaked us both out. I was wondering is maybe you could help me figure out what the symbol is and means?

Anonymous April 28, 2017 at 3:52 pm

I’m trying to do a research paper on Wicca for English, and one of the topis I chose was symbolism. Do you think I could get help figuring out which symbols are the most important and what they are and mean?

Quinley November 13, 2017 at 1:17 am

The Pentagram, Triple Goddess, and the Horned God tend to be the ones that pop up the most in my opnion. A few other symbols would include the Triquetra and and the Ankh :)

William April 19, 2017 at 12:38 pm

Hello. I have seen symbols and premonitions the past few years and there is one symbol in particular I would like to know the meaning of. I have looked for the meaning on my own but to no avail. Think you could help me?

Rosie Smith August 11, 2017 at 12:52 am

Did one of the symbols happen to be an Arrowhead with the infinity symbol through it and it a circle around it

Anonymous April 7, 2017 at 7:47 pm

Hello everyone. I have read everything that has been posted. A long time ago witches would have been burned at the stack for even talking or practices. It’s good to believe in things but there is some things that are not to be talked about so openly. Maybe I am just old school but somethings are meant to be kept within the circle of your culture.

Anonymous October 10, 2017 at 3:56 pm

Little history fact, Witches were never burned at the stack during the witch trials. They were sent to be hung then after they would burn the dead body’s all together. easy misunderstanding really.

Quinley November 13, 2017 at 1:20 am

Exactly. A LONG TIME AGO. It’s perfectly fine to talk about your beliefs. Your beliefe can fall under the category of your opinions and you should feel free to share your opinion. It would be one thing to make people listen to your beliefs, but this is obviously a page that is dedicated to Wicca so it’s not like sharing your beliefs about Wicca on a Wicca page is exactly forcing people to read it.

Anonymous January 8, 2018 at 11:33 am

In turn to that then, perhaps you should also realize that this -is- within a circle of culture, specifically those who wish to learn of Wiccan and other Pagan symbols. If you do not wish to see such things, then perhaps -don’t- visit a site meant to -educate- people on specific cultures.

Anonymous April 14, 2018 at 10:04 am

Well said. Well said, indeed!

Anonymous January 5, 2019 at 7:31 pm

My niece found a braclet ,a pentacle, some human ashes iin a little container, buried under our shed what does it mean

Anonymous March 11, 2017 at 2:00 pm

Dont touch that thing! Chances are its charged with someones energy. Could react badly to yours or your daughters. Eorst case is its some sort of hex so if you touched it go to your religious provider and get blessed or cleansed. Then do the same to that thing and bury it like you would a person

a suppressed Wiccan December 14, 2016 at 11:02 am

All my life I’ve been able to see, understand, and respect everything around me in a way most can’t or won’t understand. It was as if I was blessed with a natural gift for Wicca. There is no wiccan history that I’m aware of in my family. Yet at a very young age I began drawing symbols and crafting things such as a corn dolly and Brighid’s cross without ever being shown how or even knowing what they were. It wasn’t until my teen years that I began to understand what was going on. And I began to embrace my gifts. But when I married my husband didn’t share my beliefs. So like a fool I stopped practicing. Over the next 17 years I only preformed a small handful of spells. I still honored my spirit animal and kept it close. As well as respecting nature and all in it. But my everyday practices stopped. After a while my heart and spirit felt empty. And has remained that way for some time. But 2 months ago I met a native American and began to fall in love again. I recently discovered he has Wiccan family. The same week I met him I began to feel a pressure building up at the base of my spine. But there is no medical reason for it. I haven’t told him about my past or my gifts. But last week he said there’s something about me he can’t quite put his finger on. But that his aunt is Wiccan and he’s going to ask her to help him figure it out. This got me thinking. I know the point of pressure is my root chakra. I have since felt energy building up in 4 of my 7 chakra points. Is it possible that the connection I have with him is the source of this energy and is trying to release the natural gifts and abilities that I have been suppressing for so long?

I want to get a tattoo with the initials of my wife and children, (Nordic rune) with an extra symbol meaning protection. The extra symbol needs to be potent, any ideas?

meddett October 1, 2016 at 11:23 am

Salutations. I recently woke up and found some markings on my front porch. Could someone help me identify them?

Riv November 13, 2016 at 1:14 am

I can try? What did the symbols look like?

Jenn Smith September 23, 2016 at 2:36 am

I was curious as to what a crescent moon black stamp on someone’s front porch meant?

Anonymous February 16, 2018 at 6:51 am

From what I know It depends on which way the crescent moon is facing. If it faces with the points to the left ) it is for the maiden, if they point to the right ( it’s for the crime, it they point up it could be for protection or blessing but it would be missing the 3 tear drops beneath it, but it could also be a simple symbol for the moon.

Ricc September 14, 2016 at 12:39 am

I enjoyed reading many of the comments here, lots of good things said and figured I’d share as well. I studied some anthropology of religion in college and lived in China for 6 years. Among the many different cultures and people I’ve personally met or befriended, Wiccans, Buddhists, and Muslims have always been the most kind towards me and seem to have such peaceful lives even when they may have little possessions or faced with much criticism. I don’t follow a religion, but I consider myself spiritual and mix certain elements from what I’ve encountered. I read the Bible and other texts as well. I guess I’m quite open minded and respectful of anyone’s view on life. We’ve all had hardships, and I’ve had plenty of my own, but I think it’s important to have something spiritual in our lives that we may draw on for strength and protection. I may not be wiccan but I’ve found that I do have a natural calling towards the moon and use of Wiccan symbols and such in ways that make us feel more safe and peaceful, my souls collected and calm. In short, it’s a great help for inner peace when it comes to being split 3 ways inside. Oh, big thanks to your post here. Hollywood has ruined the image of many religions and figures. We need more people to understand the truth is something more beautiful.

Paula Horvath May 23, 2016 at 8:47 pm

I have a symbol that I found in one of my mothers prayer books, I have loved it since I was a little girl. I was wondering if I could send you a picture of it, and maybe you could help explain it, or give any information about it. I think it’s a immaculate heart symbol with out the heart.

Jennifer May 25, 2016 at 6:35 pm

Of course!

T. May 16, 2016 at 9:14 pm

Hey, I’m a pagan, and I’m really confused. While doing some research for a project, I found out that a symbol that I have always believed to be one of the biggest symbols for paganism (the crescent moon and star together) is actually a symbol of the muslim faith. So, are there any symbols that represent paganism? Because I’m actually pretty upset right now…

Samantha May 21, 2016 at 11:30 pm

The crescent with the star is strictly islamic and in no way related to paganism. Paganism should have plenty of other symbols.

Nick September 11, 2016 at 8:49 pm

The islamic religion is a pagan religion. the word pagan originally described outlanders farmers and people who lived in rural areas, back then most people living in rural areas believed in more earth based, pagan or naturalist religions. later on when christianity arose the meaning of the word was changed to describe any religion that is not christianity, Judaism or ancient islamic. now Islamic is considered a pagan religion to the catholic church.

Kor September 10, 2016 at 7:21 am

Paganism uses the pentacle for the most part as the symbols of the religion. Though not all pagans do, some religions under the pagan umbrella term use different symbols to represent their religion.

Anonymous June 6, 2017 at 7:56 am

Nope thats not true. Islam does not allow any usage of symbols, and is considered an act of idolatry. The symbol of moon and star came after the death of the Prophet peace be upon him.

Franz June 6, 2017 at 8:03 am

Nope thats wrong. Islam does not allow the usage of symbols. It is considered an act of shirk which means youre disobeying the word of God. The moon and star symbol came after the death of the prophet peace be upon him.

ricki April 25, 2018 at 3:00 am

it has always been my belief that the crescent moon and the star represented the Horned God.

James April 27, 2016 at 2:57 am

Hi. Could I email you guys an image of a pendant that got given to me? Its a penyagram one but it has funny little symbols around the edge that I have been curious about for years. Can you help me?

Jennifer May 20, 2016 at 10:13 pm

Of course, yes.

Jill March 26, 2016 at 12:17 am

I need some suggestions for a strong protection symbol that can created as a tattoo. I really appreciate any help!

Mecha April 6, 2017 at 6:20 pm

I’ve found through personal introspection, research, and experimenting (which plenty would discourage) that symbols are unique to individuals. I delved into lore, myth, and personal writings from other people and have found that using a symbol or sigil in one period in my life with a good success rate isn’t always going to work, say 5 years from now. Depending on your path in life, your personal beliefs, and the situation, the symbol that works for you today might not be what works for you indefinitely. I find the best success rate with simply looking over a multitude of pages, then not settling on one until I find one I keep going back to. Distracted wandering seems to play more to my subconscious, which is far less undecided than my conscious mind. To be almost mystical about it, one symbol “resonates” with me on a subconscious level, while the rest hold no fascination. While I always read about the usage of the symbol, I find it most accurate to let my subconscious work hard and let my conscious mind agree. If I were doing something as permanent as a tattoo, I’d probably choose a combination of many different symbols and sigils with the same meaning.

Nina March 11, 2016 at 7:08 pm

I recently moved into a house an it is very unique. Someone told me that some of the decor looks “Pagan” on the outside doors and courtyard. Can I send photos and see what you think?

Jennifer March 13, 2016 at 6:02 pm

Sure Nina, just send attachments to the email on the Q&A page.

Anonymous January 23, 2016 at 8:16 pm

Okay, I went into my grandmother’s crafting room and found a witch’s bible along with some cards, a book full of herbal mixtures, and a box full of herbs. This shocked me!
Before I found this, I went in to look at the jewelry she’s made. I found a metal triquetra, or celtic knot, and she asked if I liked it. I had no idea what it was and I thought it looked cool so she put a necklace chain on it and gave it to me.
I wanted to find out what it was so I did some research. It didn’t surprise me when I found out it had something to do with wicca or however you’d say it. All I’m wondering is… does it have some sort of meaning?

Anonymous April 5, 2016 at 8:14 pm

Its both are actually taken as a sign of protection. The triqueta is a sign for the holy three (father, son, holy spirit) and the celtic knot is for a balance in good and evil. So really there’s nothing to worry about. She is just looking out for you. If have any other questions ask me or even ask your grandmother. She may have a lot to say

Pam September 18, 2015 at 8:28 pm

My cousin has a pendant that belonged to our grandmother….is there a way I can send photos and possibly find out what it means.

Jennifer September 29, 2015 at 1:02 pm

Sure, just send them to symboldictionary AT gmail.com

Megan September 16, 2015 at 9:12 pm

Hi, I recently moved into a house that I found “am” on the windows. I have recently been told a wife was trying to talk to her recently dead husband and she was wiccan. What does the ‘am’ stand for? Her husband died by suicide in the house.

Suzanne August 2, 2015 at 10:09 pm

Can I show you a picture of symbols my girlfriend found on floorboards under old carpet in bedrooms in their big country farmhouse they just bought? Thanks.

Jennifer August 7, 2015 at 1:38 pm

Of course, sounds very interesting!

Brooke W. May 15, 2015 at 10:31 pm

Jade March 27, 2015 at 9:47 am

My boy friend weres a pentacle ring that he turns inside his hand when where out. Then he gives me a ring that’s pink with a heart. What you think this means?

Jennifer April 1, 2015 at 3:23 am

I think it means he likes you?

Anonymous January 3, 2016 at 9:17 am

Well Jade, ive recently began some curious research, dwelling in the mysteries & secrets of Gnostism, Pythagorean discoveries & basic western magik. I know that the color (Pink) represents Love, platonic love, friendship, kindness, emotional healing. And the heart symbol represents direct expression of love upon the person and or object it is scribed.
So if intentional emphasis was focused on the color and symbol of your ring by your dude, means he has an enormous amount of love for you

Anonymous January 3, 2016 at 10:40 am

As for the pentacle ring, it would be difficult to say what exactly it represents to him. The pentacle is the esoteric [pentagram; (the star in the circle). The Pentagram has been a part of Ancient history for thousands of years by ancient cultures from the Mayans of Latin America, to India, China, Greece, and Egypt. Its been found scratched on the walls of Neolithic caves, and in Babylonian drawings.
The pentacle (5 pointed star) has more esoteric focus behind its use through symbolized representations; most popular being- (earth, fire, water, air and spirit.)
Currently, the most common religious uses of the pentagram are by Wiccan, Neopagan, and Satanic groups. In most Wiccan and Neopagan traditions, its symbolic meaning is derived from Ceremonial magick and nineteenth century occultism- the four elements ruled by the spirit- although as these theologies have matured, they have added to its meaning.

In many of these traditions, it can also symbolize the unity of mankind with the earth or with the realm of the spirit, the human body, and more.
Its very confusing as you can tell lol
This is why the intentions of its use are hard to determine unless its infact being used satanicly, in which case identifying the nature of its practice can be quite easy if reguarding details.

Mecha April 6, 2017 at 6:32 pm

The pentacle ring? Four elements and the soul at the center. Turning it towards the palm of his hand? Either he’s not sure about a reaction to the Ring’s symbolism ( not comfy with being seen as Wiccan or afraid of people of other religions believing he’s Satanic [which still happens even after the advent of the neo-Wiccan movement]), or if he’s comfy with the symbolism and religious significance, it may be for inner balance. Turning the balance of the elements inward, toward the body, “aims” the sigil back to the self. Perhaps he’s usually shy or tends to get overwhelmed when out and about? It’s all about balance, and he’s turning the balance within.

Amy February 17, 2015 at 11:57 pm

The goddess really does care for you. I read a book that changed my life and the way I saw spirituality. It says don’t follow spirituality where it is dead. Don’t follow a spiritual path because you were forced into, guilt-tripped, or afraid of anything other than it. The goddess is waiting for you with open arms. She helped me let go of some of the bitterness and resentment from my previous spiritual path. She helped me understand the beauty in nature, motherly love, creativity, intuition, and feminine power. She can help you too. Believe it or not, I’m only in this path because it felt right for me. This was the spirituality that was alive for me, and I hope it helps you too. Sorry to go on a rampage.

kate hagglund March 13, 2015 at 3:22 am

Hell Amy, can you help me on my journey towards accepting wiccan? It seems so right

Anonymous May 16, 2015 at 1:06 pm

Amy~You apologize at the end of your post and you need not be sorry for stating your beliefs so beautifully and honestly. You’ve followed the Wiccan Rede and done no harm. You are blessed to be on your path.
Blessed Be

Kylie February 3, 2016 at 1:43 pm

What was the book called?

chris November 29, 2014 at 3:17 am

i have written before asking for help. I found myself displaying the horned-hand sign and worst is that i do this unwillingly and i have tried to stop it but could not. This means that something is in control of me but i don’t know what it is. Does this mean that i’m a wiccan? Please help me out. Please?

Anonymous May 16, 2015 at 1:10 pm

It means you have something in your subconscious mind that needs to be freed. It is not negative…it is nuetral. Meditate on it. Wiccan is a spiritual path and if you’re meant to follow it, study all the good and light that it brings. The horned symbol with your hand usually means “metal” music, that is all. Blessed Be

Tammy November 12, 2014 at 3:44 pm

I need help identifying a symbol that my cousin’s daughter saw tattooed on her skin in a dream. It looks like an upside down cross with the letter c attached at the bottom. If anyone has any ideas please email me. Thanks in advance for your time!

Isis October 8, 2014 at 6:51 pm

I found this very useful as I am a wicca myself and I can successfully teach my students the light magic as I please.

Maria August 15, 2014 at 5:06 pm

Thanks for finally writing about >Wiccan Symbols <Loved it!

Jennifer July 13, 2014 at 12:28 am

We’ve had a Wiccan symbols page for nine years, just how long were you waiting? ;)

Zoe April 24, 2014 at 10:26 am

I find all the symbols really cool, but could someone please tell me the one for safety, protection or family

Cyndie King April 8, 2014 at 7:09 pm

My brother found a box buried in his yard that I think might have Wiccan writing on it. I’m very curious about what it says/means. I have photos that I can share, but can’t post here.

Can someone please advise me on my next step.
Thank you!

Everyone is entitled to there own beliefs and therefore you cannot say such to others.I am pagan wiccan and I believe that we all are of true blood of the family no different that wolves or dogs. We all believe in different things but because of so some feel that they must hurt one another to prove that they are right. Such with the crusaders did. They hunted innocent people who believed different. And even today We have such wars. Peace can bring healing but wars bring only suffering and despair. When will we learn to just accept one another as brothers and sisters I know not.but I do hope one day it shall happen.

Okay, for starters, learn to spell and correct your grammar before posting anything.

Also, I doubt you know the person who was helpful enough to post this information personally. You don’t know what they’ve been through, whether they’ve got parents or not, what kind of life they lead before they were influenced by Paganism.

Secondly; you don’t just run away, bump into the local coven on a street somewhere and that’s it you’re part of their group.

Thirdly; what are you going to gain from insulting them?

Lastly; you’re probably some arrogant little kid looking to cause a flame war over the internet. If that is indeed the case, you’re on the wrong site.

My suggestion? Go back to your Justin Bieber videos.

Mima March 28, 2015 at 9:41 am

Never mind them because what matters is ur message’s being received, and it has for me. so, thank u very much for ur advice.

Quinley November 13, 2017 at 1:30 am

First, your grammar sucks. I realize that it takes more brain cells than you have to put that extra y and u to actually form the word you, but get a grip.

Second, she’s not a good sister becayse she should’ve done anything to keep th family apart? Well from what I’ve understood, her parents kicked her out because of her faith. Are you saying that she should’ve repressed HERSELF because her parents decided their daughter can’t be her own person and must adhere to their religion/beliefs?

Third, I’m sorry that you didn’t grow up with parents but if your family hated you because of things you believe in, doesn’t seem like much of a family. You made a point of saying that she gave up “something people would give up all the money in the world for”. Personally I wouldn’t spend a damn penny for a unsupportive family, or one that at least respected me as a PERSON. Her beliefs are a part of her and if they can’t at least RESPECT that, then maybe they shouldn’t be in her life because it seems that they are only bringing negative energy into her life.

I think that as a Wiccan it is important to recognize that whatever religion, faith or spiritual path that one chooses, they all have the same end result. A thirst for understanding the Divine. While Christianity may be the most prevelant that many of us are familiar with, it is important to remember that our faiths share many of the same qualities and lessons. By looking at the similarities and finding common ground, we can show through love, patience and understanding that we are all focused on the same thing. A quest to come closer to the Divine. Whether one calls the Divine God, Jehovah, Allah, Buddah–these names do not matter. There are all one in the same.

Kea May 18, 2016 at 4:16 pm

Thank you so very much for saying that!!! That’s the truth! I have been studying various religions, for personal reasons, and, like you stated, there are a lot of similarities. I wish others weren’t blind to this fact so we can finally have peace. These religious wars aren’t proving anything, but a lack of respect for one another’s lives. We need to embrace our similarities and bury the hachet so to speak. Thanks for hearing me out.

are these even real symbols?
I know that there is 2 ways to draw a pentagram and one of them is on there but I don’t know about the others.
There is also more symbols than what is on here…

Jennifer February 4, 2014 at 3:18 pm

Yes, these are all real. Yes, there are more symbols than what is depicted here, as the authors of this site are not all-knowing androids. ;)

Jassie October 20, 2013 at 4:11 pm

I have a question,i have recently saw a symbol not on here. it is a circle with a upside down cross and a star in it, with a black jem in the middle. Any ideas on what it could be?

i have a cresent moon tattoo of luna. Ive had it for a while and at times it just feels like its burning like fire. would anyone know what that means?

Starr126 September 29, 2013 at 3:04 pm

Good afternoon. For years I’ve been searching for what this could mean IF anything, and I’m hoping someone will see this and have an answer.
I was born with a 5 point star on my forehead. In every picture that was taken of me, it isn’t visible, it appears as a smudge. It has since faded away but if I hold my head in a certain angle or light hits it just so, it’s faintly seen. Does this mean anything? Thx!

iris September 19, 2013 at 11:43 pm

I have a question. i had a dream and in it i remember being in a wedding dress a man beside me in a suit i was in a red room with fire in the back he had his hand on mine he said no matter. where u go or what u do it will always find u when he moved his hand i looked. down and on my hand was a string of black pearls with a 5 point star. what does this mean anyone?

michael newsome December 17, 2013 at 5:09 am

Everything happens 4 reasons dreams are our conchious no one but you can clearly determine your dream only you know the feelings attatched 1st i would get a dream journal immediatly after waking up write in detail feelings included overall reoccouring dreams continue till you resolve them fire is passion black the combination of all colors many times relative to evil not true darkness is da.rk because it has not yet been seen possibly symbolic for nieave based on balance no white with out black diamonds start as coal also this particular man represents passion ballpark guess your sttracted to the wild men that exillerate you and the root of attraction is the dangerous men because u know anyway fire shows passion so the pasdion side is always good but everything else is dark your marriage mentally are those most capable to hurt you inner deamonds are trying to help you resolve yourself

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone could help me with a symbol? It’s of a snake coiled around a chalice, and I was wondering if anyone knows what it’s called or what it means? I’ve been drawing it ever since I started high school and I have no idea why, especially since I have no artistic imagination what so ever. I tried looking it up and found something like it on the side of a jar and it was called the “Serpent of Magick” but I couldn’t find anything on such a symbol.

Thank you, and I hope someone can help.

Jennifer January 25, 2019 at 7:27 pm

It is a symbol of St John.

Tori August 23, 2013 at 7:43 pm

LivingForChrist:The bible says that god says for men not to judge other men. That only he may do that. You are judging. I grew up in an abusive home . It also was a Strict Christian home. God is supposed to be loving and caring. All I ever got in that was hatred, abuse, and the bible quoted at me constantly. I was told that I was going to burn in the fires of hell for eternity at the age of 9. I turns to Wicca in my freshman year of highschool. Wicca is about peace love acceptance. It is about honoring the earth and life itself. About harming none. I feel loved and accepted. I not judged by other wiccans. They accept me for who I am. Christianity gave me hatred, Wicca gave me love. You do the math. I will follow my own path and not let crazy religious fanatics like you and my DNA donors tell me how to live my life.

michael newsome December 17, 2013 at 6:11 am

Well i can say if you need someone to agree with you Agreed every path that we are all on is not nessesarily the path we choose but the path chosen for us all included honestly all religions when boiled down good vs evil its a good thing that right now this is bothering because it shows you care and as long as you do care and stay open enough to hear your calling youll be ok personally with much thought included god is vast so vast beyond the entire universe so vast that infinity still is in no comparison so aside any BOOKS jyour calling will find you your heart is the key and you are golden as long as what you do has heart and reason care not what others think infact they dont even have to know the good you do and the good in your heart will speak for you and lastly fear creates hate and people only fear what they dont know or understand your allowed to have secrets as long as your real with god and yourself your path is yours protect it and speak nothing of it to small minds i think your better than that dont leave doors open to just anyone i believe in you bless it be*******

i am a thirteen year old wiccan living in a very christian home.i hate it too. all the time i am getting told that i am going to rot in hell if i keep on practicing wicca, getting read scriptures from the bible, its pretty annoying. my sister is the one that introduced me to wicca, and she got kicked out of my house because of it. ever since then i knew that the christain path was not for me, so i follow my goddess, and she has helped me through my life.

melissa January 9, 2014 at 3:03 pm

Hi Tori,
God is right about the judging thing. We all have our paths, we pick a lot of what is in them prior, the free will is where it gets dicy. I just told a friend 2 nights ago at dinner, I went to a Catholic school while being was raised by the devil. (Adopted, only child, trapped in hell with a woman whose husband left her) I can relate to parents finding bliss in their malicious torture. These people are obvious to you now, thankfully before they can do harm to such an extent. You will be able to help people by sharing how you were able to overcome this. You have your “me” and they cannot take that from you. You are beautiful! Unfortunately, sometimes we end up in the position in life where we have to parent ourselves. Tell yourself what you know you deserve to hear. What you know a loving mom and dad would tell their children, what you will tell yours. You are love. What differentiates me from them is that I know this about myself. You know you’re good, and worthy. Say it! Mean it!! They on the other hand, do not yet know their truth and are so lost, their ‘me’ seems to be a memory at times. When you have your distance and safety, you can see to be sad for them. How lonely and cold for them. The best thing to fight off evil, is its balance. I think the negative energy judgment requires means we are giving away our power. This is why I think God says do not judge. It is not worth your time and the lesson is not for you. It is their path, thankfully, not yours. Continue listening to your ‘me’. God never left you. Ask your angels for a sign, if you do this with a pure heart, you will find an answer. And just to note, I have had many out of body experiences and have seen a number of ‘ethnicities’ in the spirit world, including Native American, Asian and Caucasian.. I remember things from the bible yet was also a shaman. By God, I mean a higher power, the universal consciousness.

Tracey January 25, 2014 at 6:55 pm

Well met. I myself have been almost every religion out there lol. I know how hateful people can be, but have also seen the love others give so freely. After many many years of researching religion and other spiritual paths I sort of created my own. I believe in a creator, be it an energy force or some giant humanoid being I do not know. I also favor the god/goddess as semi singular in so much as the dark/light or good/evil, you need one to have the other. I live my life accepting others for who they are, I do not try to change anyone. That in mind, I expect the same in return. No matter where you look there will always be 2 sides, we can not box people in groups, each of us is an individual so view them that way.

Mima March 28, 2015 at 9:49 am

Hello Tori I’m so glad that you found your way finally, there’s nothing like finding our inner peace and truly feeling the sense of belonging.

Emmerson April 16, 2013 at 5:44 pm

I have a question about a strange symbol. I’ve been looking all over the internet and can’t seem to find it. My sister parked her car at school and went about her day at school. When she returned to her car she found a symbol drawn on the concrete on her parking spot. The symbol was a large “X” on the top of the “X” was an “R” on The left side was an “H” across from that was another “H” and under the large “X” was an inverted cross. It looked something like this: h X h, just with an “r” on top of the “X” and an inverted cross under it. I have no idea what this could mean and I’m hoping someone knows.

Jennifer May 2, 2013 at 9:21 pm

Was she legally parked, or was the spot time-limited?

Roni August 31, 2013 at 6:40 pm

Someone is just trying to be funny except they aren’t its probably a peed off kid or teenager! But if it bothers you and you are a religious person ask your local priest or minister to bless your car.

Jdawg September 13, 2013 at 11:52 pm

That’s just a hardcore symbol that people who listen to hardcore bands draw, sometimes it’s just HXC other times they mix it up and the upside down cross is what hardcore fans draw too

Jdawg September 14, 2013 at 12:04 am

Like this here! That’s the letters of a band name what your sister was seeing was the 3 letters of a band name around an X symbolising they are hardcore and a upside down cross before to just fill the gap cause their band name is only 3 words long
